The "Masher"

We are not sure what this is really called, but we have been making a lot of guesses about it!  Together we have decided that fruit would have been placed in the metal container and the pestle would have been used to crush the fruit.  The juices of the fruit would then ooze out of the holes into a bowl.  The pioneers would then use the juices to make jams or other baking needs.
