The Glass Butter Churn

When we first received this artifact, we were all sure that it was an ice cream maker!  When Kim from the Glenbow Museum visited us, she gave us clues of things to look for in identifying artifacts.  After looking closely we all discovered that it was actually a more modern butter churn!  It is likely about 50 to 75 years old.  It's gears and handle still move smoothly as you turn the handle around.  We are sure that it would make some amazing butter!
