Milk Containers of the 1950's

This cardboard milk carton was a typical container for milk later in the 1950's and 1960's.   This kind of packaging came after the glass milk containers of the past.

It was very common to have your milk delivered daily to your door.  These milk cartons were not recyclable in the 1950's like the glass milk containers of the past.

The "milkman" was a very important member of the 1950's community.  Today we do not have many milk delivery systems.

For many years recycling milk containers was not an important belief for society.  Today we have begun to recycle and think of better ways to package our milk.
