Cameras of the 1950's

In some ways, cameras haven't changed much since the 1950's. In other ways things have really changed!

This camera flash was mounted onto the top of a Polaroid camera.  One of the things that many of us don't realize is how inconvenient flashes were.  Most cameras required that you purchased a separate flash bulb for darker pictures.  If you ran out of flashes, your picture wouldn't turn out!  Today, many cameras have flashes built into them and only require that you have batteries.  This way, we never have to worry about having a  flash nearby!
