An Explanation of the "When Two Cultures Meet" Logo...

by Kristyn S.

There are many parts that make us what we are.

To my knowledge the Chinese character you see is supposed to represent the phrase, "to reach". I chose this character because it represents cultures of all races meeting, reaching out to each other, looking forward , sharing pride and reaching for understanding, compassion and tolerance.

The colours symbolize the world's two main shades: blue for water and green for land. I also chose navy blue and black to colour in the character so it would stand out.

Thank you for reading my input on our Grade Five study of "When Two Cultures Meet".
