       The reason Sebastian Cabot wanted to be an explorer because he wanted to have land named after him.

       Sebastian Cabot explored on many expeditions with his father. Sebastian Cabot was born on July 6, 1474. his birthplace was Venice, Italy. He died in 1557. he moved to Bristol, England when he was 13 or 14 years old. His dad, John Cabot, was also a famous explorer. He had 2 brothers.

       Following in his father’s footsteps, Sebastian Cabot explored many parts of the world. In 1508, Sebastian Cabot explores the Northwest Passage across North American.  In 1526-1529 he made a trip across the world that included Ontario, China and the Malacca’s.  His mode of transportation was their family boat called the Matthew.

       He only made it as far as the mouth of Rio de Plata (between Argentina and Uruguay in south America,) In 1553; he looked for a water passage across the North f Asia. Sebastian Cabot made many trips across the world that helped us.

       Sebastian Cabot explored because his dad wanted him too.  He explored to find easier and safer straights and rivers.  He also wanted to discover new places.  Sebastian Cabot was famous because he explored many parts of the world.
