The Number Devil

Twelve-year-old Robert dislikes his math teacher, Mr. Bockel who gives his class boring math problems and won't let them use their calculators. In his dreams Robert is visited by the Number Devil who brings the subject magically to life for him. Illustrating with wit and charm (and a few fun words like 'nincompoop') a world in which numbers can amaze and fascinate, where math is nothing like the dreary, difficult process that so many of us dread. The Number Devil knows how to make math devilishly simple!
