In the middle of September, Kindergarten embarked on our inquiry with this very special day! To culminate our worm exploration, Kindergarten shared their learning with their parents in a variety of ways. "We like to move it, move it..."
Math is fun and math brings joy as well as knowledge to our lives as seen here when we pattern.
On March 7th, both Kindergarten classes took their first full day field trip to the wonderful Leighton Art Centre. Here we explored two of our passions: art and the environment. The scenery was outstanding with a most impressive view of the Rocky Mountains. The art inspiration was fabulous as both Mr. and Mrs. Leighton were professional artists of exceptional caliber.
For the month of April we worked on learning the skills involved in building a robot. On April 26th, we shared all of our knowledge with our families and friends.
In the month of May, Glendale was lucky to have the opportunity to work with Debra Giebelhaus-Maloney. We worked on a variety of fun learning activities that utilized music including singing storybooks, acting out poems, moving to music and writing our own songs! Kindergarten shared their music, movement and literacy activities at the Celebration of Learning on Thursday, May 31st.

On June 5th, the Glendale Kindergarten students presented an exhibit on appreciating the environment at the 18th annual Mayor's Environmental Exposition.
