Inquiry - Visions of a Time to Come

Our Grade 5/6 students are at an age where they are spending more time anticipating the future. And for the most part, expecting it to be good. Students generally think that things will work out and be good, not often considering the many things that could come up in the meantime.

Is this a gift of youth, failing considering things could be less than good? Or is it being naive and short-sighted? Is this a childhood trait and should be left alone? Do we foster that resiliency in the belief that things 'can' be better?

It is easy to go along, accepting the world the way it is, but our hope is to interrupt this notion - to give our students a moment to 'think' critically about what they know now and what they understand.

Every moment is the present.

Come with us now as we take our first steps into understanding what is to come.
